1. Bill Engvall: Here’s Your Sign – It’s Finally Time: The Farewell Tour

Come to realize that “it’s finally time” to hang up the microphone after more than 40 years in the business, Bill Engvall is signing off and saying goodbye to stand-up. Here’s your last chance to see this one-of-a-kind comedian as he offers his thought-provoking and unique perspectives on just about everything.

2. BYU Ballroom: COME ALIVE

Date: October 19, 2022
Time: 7pm

Brigham Young University’s Ballroom Dance Company is recognized both nationally and internationally as a treasured and unique university dance ensemble. Their new presentation, Come Alive, is a spectacular show that presents ballroom dance in a theatrical environment with a contemporary point of view. Its innovative choreography is compelling, engaging and just plain fun! Audiences will be fascinated as couples dance a romantic waltz and will feel the energy as the company moves to the infectious rhythms of Latin America. Additional surprises throughout the performance make Come Alive a family-friendly show that should not be missed.

3. Soweto Gospel Choir: HOPE – It’s Been a Long Time Coming

Date: October 20, 2022
Time: 8pm

Out of the darkness comes a new dawn! This all-new concert by 3-time Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir commemorates South Africa’s freedom movement and the civil rights movement in the United States. Bringing joy to all, HOPE opens with a rousing program of South African freedom songs that inspired their Rainbow Nation. Then the choir’s uplifting performance moves to the United States with beautiful renditions of the music of the civil rights movement, including works by legendary artists Billie Holiday, James Brown, Otis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, and the one-and-only, Aretha Franklin. Get ready, HOPE is a concert that will live forever in your hearts!

4. A Family Affair starring Peisha McPhee along with daughters Adriana McPhee & Katharine McPhee-Foster

Date: November 19, 2022
Time: 8pm

Join internationally renowned singer Peisha McPhee for an unforgettable evening of musical memories featuring her daughters, Adriana McPhee and Katharine McPhee-Foster. They’ll be joined by some of the most celebrated names in music, performing songs that span her remarkable career.

5. Festival Ballet Theatre: The Nutcracker (2019 Review)

Dates: December 10-24, 2022

Festival Ballet Theatre’s family-friendly, breathtaking production features superb, colorful scenery and dazzling costumes, which make this age-old tradition sparkle like new. Be swept away by Tchaikovsky’s iconic score as the Sugar Plum Fairy, our heroine, Clara, and a cast of hundreds take you on a magical journey to mystical lands. This full-length traditional production is choreographed and directed by Festival Ballet Theatre’s Artistic Director, Salwa Rizkalla, and features world-renowned guest artists, FBT’s professional company dancers, and exceptional young talent from across the Southland.

6. Dover Quartet

Date: January 31, 2023

Named one of the greatest string quartets of the last 100 years by BBC Music Magazine, the Grammy- nominated Dover Quartet has followed a “practically meteoric” (Strings) trajectory to become one of the most in-demand chamber ensembles in the world.

Program includes:

  • HAYDN: Quartet in C Major, Hob. III: 77, Op. 73, No. 3 (“Emperor”)
  • Amy BEACH: Quartet for Strings (In One Movement), Op. 89
  • DVOŘÁK: Quartet No. 10 in E-flat Major, Op. 51

7. On Broadway

Bringing you all the hit songs of this Broadway season in one unforgettable night, ON BROADWAY highlights selections from long-running standards like Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, and The Lion King, as well as current favorites like The Book of Mormon, Moulin Rouge, and the smash hit, Hamilton.

8. Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette (Opera)

Date: March 3, 2023
Time: 8pm

Full of the music and characters you love, this 2-hour abridged production of Charles Gounod’s celebrated opera will be one you’ll remember forever. Fully staged and costumed with the incredible Lyric Opera OC orchestra, this production features internationally celebrated opera stars and a ballet troupe.

9. Festival Ballet Theatre: Swan Lake

Dates: March 18-19, 2023
Time: 7pm, 2pm

Set to Tchaikovsky’s elegantly moving score, Swan Lake is the story of young Prince Seigfried and Odette, the Swan Queen, a young girl doomed to be a swan by day and a woman by night. Swan Lake’s spectacular beauty, power, and grace reminds us all of the transformative power of love. This beloved classical ballet is choreographed by Artistic Director Salwa Rizkalla, after Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, and features world renowned guest artists in the lead roles.

10. Midori Plays Bach

Date: April 16, 2023
Time: 3pm

Hailed as one of the violin’s most “intense, assured and polished” (The Washington Times) performers, Midori is a visionary artist, activist, and educator whose career has transcended traditional boundaries through her relentless drive to explore and build connections between music and the human experience.

The program includes:

  • BACH: Sonata No. 1 for Solo Violin in G minor, BWV 1001
  • Isang YUN: Königliches Thema
  • BACH: Sonata No. 3 for Solo Violin in C major, BWV 1005
  • John ZORN: Passagen
  • BACH: Violin Partita No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1004

11. Megan Hilty

Date: April 20, 2023
Time: 8pm

Megan Hilty, beloved star of stage and screen, is known worldwide as the seasoned triple-threat, Ivy Lynn, in the NBC hit Smash. She wowed audiences with her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked, and was first to perform the role of Doralee Rhodes in Broadway’s 9 to 5: The Musical. Megan received a Tony Award nomination for her performance as Brooke Ashton in the delightful comedy, Noises Off. Most recently, she starred as Patsy Cline in Lifetime’s original movie Patsy & Loretta, earning a Critics Choice Award nomination for her performance.

12. Music of the Knights

Date: May 20, 2023
Time: 8pm

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Elton John, and Sir Paul McCartney, each knighted by the Queen of England, are three of the world’s most successful songwriters. From Broadway to the top of the pop charts, these musical geniuses each created an incredible individual musical legacy. Music of the Knights honors their lasting musical influence.
