“I’m a comedian.”
Three words, beginning with a contraction, that make me back away in revulsion. Back when I had Tinder, I listed two kinds of people who I simply would not converse with: The above self-proclaimed funnymen, and burners. Burners, as in Burning Man attendees. These types of people and their personalities (for the most part) couldn’t turn me on less. My other major sexual dealbreaker is skipping foreplay, which is harder to assess when swiping on a dating profile. Most people can identify specific qualities that dry them up (or soften their…desire..), and while some may be deemed picky, there are plenty of universal traits that people tend to avoid. That much is abundantly clear in this Reddit thread of turnoffs that was started by u/Sad-Size4870. The redditor took to r/AskReddit to ask the “ladies” of the site to share their own instant “ladyboner killers,” and we’ve got to say, we stand behind almost all of them. Dirty nails? Pass. Rude to service staff? Goodbye. Stinky anything? Big nope. This collection of responses, while generous, represent only a fraction of the thread’s insight. And if you’re a woman looking to relate, or a man trying to gain some dating tips, there are way more where these came from. But first. The best of the best of talking about dating’s worst.
